Switching over your closet for fall

October 16, 2017

We have officially hit mid-October, and although Mother Nature hasn't decided to give us cool weather consistently, I think it is safe to say that we are done with our sundresses and sandals. It is the dreaded time of year when we have to switch over our closets!
Fear not, because this week's video is filled with tons of tips and tricks to make cleaning out your closet a breeze! I also think you need to ask yourself four simple questions when you are deciding what to keep and what to purge:

  1. Does this fit?
  2. Could it fit if I had it altered?
  3. Does it make me happy?
  4. Does it work with my lifestyle?

If you answer yes to all of these questions, keep it!! If you find yourself hesitating or saying no, just let it go!! A closet full of "maybe's" just becomes distracting and cluttered. Wouldn't you love to know that everything in your wardrobe is working for you?

As you edit some of the pieces out of your closet, remember that Gee Loretta has an amazing resale shop - SECOND STORY! We are always looking for clothing that is in style and in season. Right now, we would love sweaters, jackets, handbags and jewelry! The items that you don't need to bring in are: shoes, pants, suits or cocktail dresses. Follow this link for a little more information on Second Story.

The last tip that I have is to create a shopping list on your smartphone for the pieces that you need to update, add or replace in your wardrobe. This helps you to stay focused on the pieces that you are lacking while you shop.
I hope your closet clean-out goes well and I would love it if you would share some of your favorite tips and tricks to keeping your closet on point!
