Mixing Up Metallics

Metallics are such a fabulous way to add life to your everyday look! Incorporating a little bit of shimmer and sparkle can create instant texture and energy to your overall look.

Gone are the days where metallics and shimmer are just for evening wear. Today, designers are adding a pop of shimmer to everything! Jackets, t-shirts, shoes and pants, to name a few. The key to pulling off metallics is to create contrast. Take a shimmery jacket and pair it with a simple cotton tee and your favorite pair of blue jeans. Take the funky sequin tee and rock it with a pencil skirt and flat moto boots or a fashion sneaker. It is all about mixing up dressy with casual to create interest and balance.

Another simple way to rock this look is to add a metallic shoe/handbag to your look! Metals are a NEUTRAL, so they truly go with everything. The same way that you would wear a gold or silver necklace is the same way you can add any other accessory to your look.
