There is no reason to stop wearing white just because Labor Day passes. Nothing, especially an outdated rule, should hinder you from rotating the crisp color into your wardrobe year-round. It makes perfect sense to continue on with white in climates like ours here in New Mexico where September’s temperatures are hardly fall-like.
Aside from black, white is the easiest shade to wear. It looks great with denim, is the perfect foundation for a bold print, and makes monochrome dressing super easy.
Here are some seasonally appropriate ways to incorporate white into your wardrobe long after Labor Day!
1.Use white denim as a foundation for a wild print or bold color: Forget whatever you’ve been told- We will be pairing our white skinny jeans with boots and chunky sweaters all season long. As a rule of thumb when it comes to “how to wear white” after Labor Day, fabrics speak volumes over color. Pack up your white linen pants that you were rocking all summer long but keep out your white denim. White is a great foundation for wild prints or bold colors. I love the way white jeans pair back to animal print and all of the colors of your “spice rack” for the fall.
2. Fresh white boots: White boots are going to be a huge trend for the upcoming season! As I look at all of the fashion bloggers on social media, they are all showing fun ways to wear this fresh look! Invest in a pair that are ankle-length and wear with bare legs and a midi skirt or with your skinny jeans tucked into the boot. My favorite white boot from Matisse just arrived in store and I am already planning on all of the ways that I want to style them! I love that they have a contrasting black chunky heel which makes them super comfortable and appropriate for work or play.
3. Add a crisp white blouse: There is nothing more classic than a white collar button-up blouse! A lot of times, we think of this staple piece as something that we have to dress up or wear with black slacks ,but this is not the case. For fall, I love to take my white blouse and use it as a layering piece under a cozy sweater and leggings. This is a great way to incorporate white into your fall wardrobe. Our store is bursting at the seams with light-weight sweaters that make for the best layering pieces to pair with leggings and a bootie.
I can’t wait to see you ladies in this week so that we can show you more fun ways to incorporate white into your fall wardrobe!!!
